The initiative to raise rainbow trout was born the day we were invited to a lunch at the university; the main course, of that lunch, was based on trout, from that moment the idea of raising trout was born intensively. It was so that in 1996, we started as a small natural person company with minimal production and national trout, our first buyers arrived from the Bolivian market. As at all beginnings we needed all kinds of work materials, which little by little we were implementing in our cultivation center, after a while our company was established as Titikaka Trout Peru. During our growth we had the support and help of friends and professionals from our environment, who instructed us to improve our company and the quality of our products; as time went by we were main suppliers for the export of Piscifactorias de los Andes (Pisces) for 8 years. At that time, the general manager was Mr. Joaquín Delapiedra Portela, during the time we worked with them we improved our quality and production of trout by the high quality standards that were required for exportation.
